There was never a grand plan to build a huge publishing empire.
Rob’s Books began with something much simpler: a love of stories, ideas and the thought that perhaps there was still room in the world for books made with a little personality.
One book became another.
Then came children’s adventures, mysteries, cookbooks, puzzle books, colouring books, field guides, strange tales, serious stories and the occasional idea that probably sounded completely ridiculous until it became a book.
Some were written to entertain.
Some were written to teach.
Some were created simply because the idea was too good not to explore.
And somewhere along the way, Rob’s Books became much more than a collection of titles.
It became a wonderfully unpredictable bookshelf.
You might arrive looking for a cosy murder mystery and leave with a cookbook.
You might come for a children’s story and discover forgotten British history.
You might even find a book you never knew you wanted until you saw it.
That is really what Rob’s Books is about.
Independent publishing.
Original ideas.
Books made because somebody genuinely wanted them to exist.
There are plenty more still to come.
